          Background story

Doki Doki space of our universe and the other world, one day when the god 'Gobuhriki' appears and tries to dominate the entire universe, the brave 'Lamuness' suddenly appears and seals Gobuhriki with the power of three holy sisters, guardian knights, and many others.

Five thousand years later, the evil wizard 'Don Harumage' tries to resurrect Gobuhriki with an ambition to dominate the universe. With his powerful magic, he turns his guardian knights into evil mecha and brainwashes people into subordinates

Then they take over the Harahara World, where the legend of Lamuness is handed down. To counter this, the 'Princess Milk' from the Arara Kingdom of Hara hara World comes to the world where we live in search of the brave Lamuness.

          Main story

Teenage boy 'Baba Lamune', who dreamed of a game-like adventure, sees a girl selling game packs on her way home from school. Lamune, who likes games and cute girls, helps the girl and buys a game pack

When I clear the game with enthusiasm until late that night, suddenly a girl who was selling game packs on the TV screen appeared. He suddenly leads Baba Lamune to Hara hara World, saying that it is evidence of the user who cleared the game.

Baba Lamune, who has come to the world he sees for the first time, meets the 'Princess Cocoa' and the King, 'Arya rya Kyorya rya Yokorya III', and hears about his coming. Don Harumage also notices this and sends his men, 'Da Cider' and 'Leska', to the kingdom of Arara, where Baba Lamune is.

The two men have mobilized Mecha Monska to attack the castle, and Baba Lamune and his group, who face a crisis, rush down to the underground warehouse where the brave's weapon is located. That's where he unsealed the advisor robot 'Tama-Q', proving to be the brave Lamuness.

Tama-Q, who woke up after 5000 years, changes Lamuness into the costume of a brave man and advises him to summon the guardian knights 'King Squasher' to fight. Lamuness joins forces with Tama-Q to defeat Monska with King Squasher.

After the situation is cleared, King Arya rya Kyorya rya Yokorya III gathers eight guardian knights and asks them to stop Gobuhriki's resurrection, and Lamuness goes on a dream adventure with Tama-Q, Princess Cocoa and Princess Milk.

Each district of Harahara World was being tormented by people brainwashed by Don Harumage. Don Harumage, who watches Lamuness, sends Da Cider and Leska to continue to disturb Lamuness

Each time Lamuness uses his wit to defeat his enemies and release Don Harumage's brainwashing to liberate each region. And the cursed guardian knights are also coming in one by one, gradually getting ready to fight against Don Harumage.

          Story of one's work

The initial plan was <Arabia's Takamaru>, a story of a ninja boy's adventure in the Arabian Night style worldview, but it was changed to <SB Knight Akon> due to the sensational popularity of Mashin Hero Wataru.

I trimmed it again and a piece came out with the title of <NG Knight Lamune & 40>. NG in the title stands for Next Generation, and 40 is the sum of the guardian knights, guardian infantry, destroyer warriors, destroyer four thousand kings, and destroyer ninja in the work.

- Directly translated, I think the next-generation knight Lamune and 40 (a robot) might have been influenced by Alibaba and 40 bandits.

After a while, Akahori Satoru, who composed the series, continued to talk with media mixes such as novels and radio dramas, and produced two OVAs of <NG Knight Lamune & 40 EX and DX> with good responses

The follow-up TV animation <VS Knight Lamune & 40 fire> fails commercially, and the OVA <VS Knight Lamune & 40 FRESH> is also made as the next sequel, but this is a crazy story that even fans deny, and the series is over.

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary, we have been serializing the web novel <NG Knight Lamune & 40 FX> again since 21.

          Broadcasting in Japan

In Japan, TV Tokyo from April 6, 1990 to January 14, 1991
It aired every Friday at 18:30 for 24 minutes / 38 episodes.

The ratings exceeded 10% several times, which was fine, but sales of related products and toys were seriously sluggish, so the plan was changed from 4 Season 52 episodes to 3 Season 38 episodes and it ended early.

- Seeing that the toys of Assarm and Zenzain didn't come out, toys weren't as popular as I thought.

After a while, it will be introduced as a masterpiece in the special article of the animation magazine 'Animeju', and will be re-examined when the ratings come out well during the rerun. Fortunately, the story ended well and I was able to make a media mix and follow up later.

Media outlets released VHS compilation (June 1991 / King Record), LD-BOX (August 1992) DVD-BOX (March 2001), and BD-BOX (February 2020).

          Broadcasting in Korean

- the title of MBC

In Korea, VHS was released in 1992 on Treasure Island's home video titled <Ramone Knight> and aired on MBC from March to May 1997 under the title of <Boy Knight Ramu>.

The Korean version, which fixed all the Japanese puns and added a cool rock opening, became a completely different work from the original, so it was re-released on MBC in March 1999 and broadcasted several times on Tooniverse and Talent TV, and was popular in contrast to Japan.

          This piece is

It's a fun adventure story with a comical and bright atmosphere, and it's fun to see unique and unique villains It has a similar feeling to <Magic God Hero Legend Wataru> or <Magical King Granzort>, but the atmosphere is a little lighter.

The first half tells the story of adventuring Harahara World, finding colleagues who have become enemy mecca due to curses, returning them to their original form, and gathering colleagues to defeat the villain Madosa.

In the first half, the scriptwriter Akahori Satoru's excessive bottle-tasting gag and sexy drip are a little childish and over-reacting, and sloppy writing may seem a little boring, but from the middle to the second half, it adds fun with serious development and heavy episodes.

In the second half, Da Cider and Leska become allies, and they venture to find a stone slab of light to completely topple Gobuhriki, set in a wider, Doki Doki space.

In the second half, robots with more powerful egos than Monska appear in pairs, so Da Cider and Lamuness are also forced to fight more actively with combination play.

The robots expressed the characteristics of each horse well with the motifs of chess (guardian knight), Japanese chess (destructive warrior), and Chinese mahjong (destructive four thousand kings). It seems to have been designed with care by showing the unique deformation, union, and linkage of each mecha.

What's unfortunate is that there are few background stories, and it's unfortunate that there aren't any past stories about the 1st Lamuness, the Gobuhrikis, or the guardian knights, or why the 2end Lamuness live in a different world.

 - I put some of the stories in the sequel as a link, but it's a little bit off somewhere and it's a bit far-fetched.

Even though it ended early, I think it's a work worth seeing as a lingering finish.
